WindowWorks: Subject #1 and Subject #11

Inspired by an insatiable curiosity about understanding the self and the role of social and cultural expectation in the construction of identity, my artistic practice approaches the topic of identity, self-representation and belonging in multiple ways. Through the use of color theory, surreal scenes, and minimalist details I create portraits that through constructive and deconstructive methods are cut and reassembled to create a new image. The work expresses self-referential questions and aims to connect to ideas of social construction of reality.
