WindowWorks: Hieronymus Box
The “Hieronymus Box” is a Houstonian take on Hieronymus Bosch’s “Garden of Delights.” Patterns and colors from Bosch’s masterwork are applied to images of iconic Houstonians, Houston landmarks, and local flora and fauna to create a digital collage of acHoustonian Eden. This piece is also a tribute to Selena and DJ Screw on the respective 25th and 20th anniversaries of their passing. Selena’s image is repeated throughout the piece, and DJ Screw’s image emerges from a field of blue bonnets as DJ Screw Bonnet, an eternal artist rising from the fields of Texas.
