I wanted to paint something that would be family friendly and colorful, and my love for animals (namely felines) prompted me to illustrate a mother tiger and her cubs. My color palette reflects the street art I observed on a recent trip to Austin – I didn’t want to use conventional colors for things we recognize, hence the tigers being pink.
